I have a Pantech breakout. The screen is totally cracked. I bought an almost new one with no SIM or microSD but with a good ESN. What do I need to do to use the new one as though it was the old phone? I have done this with a basic phone but never with a SIM or microSD. Do I just insert the SIM and microSD from the trashed phone (they are in good shape) in the new phone or is there more to it with Verizon? Do I need to follow their online replace this phone process? How do I get the apps saved on my microSD to show up on the new phone? I can always go back to the Play Store and re-download the apps I have but was hoping it might be easier than that.

Thanks for stopping in and asking your question.

I would do a factory data reset on the new phone. To do this go to settings -privacy-factory data reset then select reset.

When that's done with the phone off insert your Sim and SD card. Let the phone boot up and sign in to Google then go to the play store accept the tos and your apps should download. The phone should be ready to use.

This phone apparently has no SIM card,so no worries there.

As for the apps on the SD Card, more than likely you'd be better off by simply re-loading the apps from the GOOGLE PLAY STORE.

When an app is moved to the SD Card, not all data from an app is actually stored on the SD Card when it is moved, some of the app data is actually left on the internal storage.
This is why you see a size differential when stored on the SD Card vs. internal storage.

Your best bet is to re-load your apps on your new phone & then move to the SD Card as desired.

Before doing so,I'd suggest loading a simple to use app such as this one:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sandisk.mz

It'll show the (partial/incomplete) apps that are on your SD Card.Simply erase these apps before starting over & you should have no problems w/your new phone & apps to SD Card.
