WSJ: Republicans Could Win Up to 10 Senate Seats in November

The Republican Party is generally less popular than either President Barack Obama or the Democratic Party, according to the Journal. Those sentiments are evidently offset by a combination of appealing Republican candidates and deep public disapproval of the president.

Many Republicans say they feel more confident than two years ago, when they lost seats despite having lofty expectations early in the cycle. And they’re buoyed by the predictions of political handicappers such as Stuart Rothenberg, who on Monday foresaw a GOP wave in November beyond just the six seats the party needs.

Dems face culture shock if Senate flips

Democrats would be demoted to the ranking members of committees and forced to downsize by letting go of staffers who aren’t wanted on the new majority’s payroll.

Perhaps worst of all, some Democrats would have to pack up their things as Republicans dole out the spoils of office space.
