Help Reset/Bypass a screen pattern on a Droid Turbo (Android 5.1)

I have a Droid Turbo with Lollipop (Android 5.1). I changed my screen pattern while distracted. A couple hours later, forgot exactly what I did. I have one remaining attempt to unlock the screen before automatic factory reset. I think I turned debugging mode off at some point and so can't directly run the ADB shell commands to clear the pattern. I'm to the point where I can run ADB and have the option to sideload a file. Is there a way to create a file that can be sideloaded to clear/reset the screen pattern so that I do not have to do a factory reset?

Use Android Device Manager via PC and reset the password. It should have been automatically enabled on your phone as soon as you entered your Google account.
