Root Reset Google Wallet before Root???

Hey everyone, I've been searching for a while online but haven't been able to find an answer, so hopefully you can help.

I remember reading that rooting your device can brick Google Wallet if you don't reset the app, but when I go to reset Google Wallet, the option isn't even there. Did anybody else get their tablet and set everything up, only to want to root it and have Google Wallet be fine in the end? I just don't wanna mess my Nexus up. Thanks for the help.:)

After I determined that no place I'm likely to shop actually works with NFC, I didn't much care about the $10 credit, so I did nothing at all to Wallet before I unlocked and rooted my Nexus 7.

After I got it back up again, I went through the Wallet setup again, and the $10 (which I'll never use) seemed to come back. It also now has a warning label that I have an unsupported device (because it is rooted), but that warning doesn't imply it won't work, it just says it can't be as secure as it was.

Hm. Well I did set up Google Wallet already, and I just don't want to ruin it.

I have rooted and unlocked my Nexus 7, and yes, when setting google wallet after all that, I did get my $10 prepaid credit, and then I updated to the latest Google wallet version that allows you to register any type of credit card (visa, amex, etc). Which I did.

I went to the store just with the intention to pay with my tabblet, and it worked!!! And yes, I also got the "unsupported warning" for being rooted, but that does not stop the app from working perfectly. The selected card for that transaction was the credit card I registered, and I didn't have an internet connection for the transaction to be completed succesfully (very cool).

I haven't done a transaction with the prepaid $10 credit yet, but it should be no problem since I think it's even less complex than what I did above.
