Help Reset GPS?

I slipped and let Google maps update again but this time uninstalling updates did not let the GPS start working again, maps just keeps waiting for location like the new version. 've tried other apps, rebooting, etc but can't get the GPS working again, anyone know any other tricks.

Try GPS Essentials. That will let you see what the GPS receiver itself is doing. I don't think it's a GPS problem - installing an update wouldn't turn the receiver off. (Are you sure it's turned on?)

Same thing, gets stuck at waiting for location. I get this whenever google maps tries to update but usually uninstalling updates fixes it.

Do you have your GPS turned on in the Settings>Location Access? What boxes are checked with a blue check mark?

Yes,it was turned on. I finally found a trick, I have to enable the location assist by wireless networks then disable it and now the phone can see the normal GPS again.

Anyone else having issues with GPS where they have to turn the phone over to get a signal? It works best when upside down and turned over. :\ I am worried that my receiver is shot....

I have used GPS Status and reset my GPS data.. calibrated etc... Nothing works.
