Help Restoring deleted sms messages?

Hi,

I use Textra as my sms messaging app. I was deleting a few messages, when I accidentally selected all, and deleted all of my messages. I would like to restore them.

I have not manually backed up my messages before.

However I have previously factory reset my phone, and it restored all of my sms messages automatically, so I think they were backed up to my google account maybe.

Is it possible to restore my deleted messages from my google account? Preferably without rooting my phone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running Android 6.0.1
 
Check the Android stock messaging app that came with your phone and see if the messages are in there. I use handcent as my default SMS app, but the messages show up in both apps.
