Help restoring my backup-what am I doing wrong here?

I just got my S7 repaired and want to restore my backup from google. In the past, every single time I've gotten a new phone, when I sign into google it automatically reinstalls all of my apps from my last backup (which is done automatically) along with the data. This time it's doing nothing at all. I tried going into google drive and found my last backup, but there is no "restore" button. I went to the play store and it shows my library of all the apps I've ever used (most of which I no longer use or had on my phone) but no button to restore anything. Do I really have to reinstall every single app again? Or am I missing a step somewhere?

eta: everything I'm looking at says to go into drive/settings/manage backup. But there is no "manage backup" option in my google drive settings. When I first got this phone it restored everything just fine so I know it's not the phone. What the heck. Should I do a factory reset and try again?

If you go to settings there should be an option for cloud and accounts. You should be able to restore from there.

What did the repair involve? If it was a motherboard replacement perhaps Google's system doesn't recognise it as the same phone (because in that case it wouldn't be really). If so maybe following the procedure for setting up a new phone from an existing Google backup will be the answer.

There was an option for different accounts, but only a restore button for the samsung cloud. The repair said they replaced the battery, the back, the glass, and repaired the circuit board, which I think goes hand in hand with all the other stuff. I did a factory reset and the google backup started on its own. I guess it didn't before because they stopped it at the repair shop. I just never found a way to get it to start again.
