retreaving lost media from file hiding app?

Hello i am knew hear so forgive me if this is in the wrong forum. But I have an HTC EVO, I had an app that was for hiding files and photos. But i accedently smashed my phone. Sprint replaced it for me but now I dont have the app any more to get tbe files that were hidden. Can anyone help me with this?

With a file manager (e.g. EStrongs File Explorer) search on the SD card in folders with a dot (".") in front of their names for your media files. Also search in all folder which contained files named ".nomedia" for your media files.

If the hiding app had only hid (and hadn't encrypted) the media files, you should have look to find it :)

Thank you. They are deff encrypted. That's the problem. I downloaded the app about two yrs ago and i can't find it because I cant remeber the name. It was something a long the lines of photo pro. But i did a search and cant come up with anything.
 
If the files as single files are encrypted, you could google for their file suffixes and so maybe find the name of the app.

Ok so i found it. it was called "gallery private" . Emphasise on was cause it was removed from the market. So now what? Thanks a lot forhelping me out by the way.
