Retrofit with touchscreen and Bluetooth

Is there a way to retrofit this Dell Inspiron with Bluetooth and/or touchscreen? It's about 5 or 6 years old. I would like to be able to use it with a Bluetooth speaker that's already available, and a touchscreen would enable more possibilities.

Bluetooth is easy.. you can by a small Bluetooth adaptor that plugs into a USB socket... for a few pounds/dollars

Touchscreen is harder.. as it may be possible but is going to involve quite a lot of screwdriver work, and crafting of the case to get something in, and even then it may cost a significant amount of cash/time

And even then you'll need drivers, and that assumes that the motherboard has the connection needed for a touch panel (I've never taken a touchscreen laptop apart so don't know, but a touchscreen obviously requires extra signals back to the computer which a non-touch panel does not, so a different or additional connector seems quite possible, and your motherboard may or may not have this).

If it's a desktop then it should be simpler - you can just buy a touchscreen monitor. You may need a free USB port for the touch part to communicate with the PC, but you should be able to use it with any PC whose OS supports touch input.

yes! I've been using the USB bluetooth adapters for years, they work very well with Windows and Linux. They are very cheap to buy and very compact. You can leave one plugged in and the laptop will still fit easily in it's bag.

there are plenty on EBay (UK) from £0.99 or EBAy (USA) From $0.99.
these are from China/Hong Kong / Malaysia.

In the UK, from a UK retailer, from £4.99, in the US from a US retailer, from $4.99

so not expensive, and they do work well with both Windows 10 and Linux.

Thanks for all your help, and I got the Bluetooth done. I found a cheap one for less than ten dollars and it works great,. I'll probably just have to let the touchscreen go for now. Have you heard of C Cleaner? I keep getting a message from it but I don't know whether to trust it. I sure hope it's not cheetah mobile.

It's not Cheetah Mobile, but it does contain a task killer so I'd personally not use it. Have you installed it, or are these messages ads?

It might have been installed already. I got the pc used. What happens is there's an ad I guess which pops up sometimes and claims it can clean up x amount of space.
