Return Policy - Establishing Price

Hi, I am expecting to switch to sprint and have a question about the return/exchange 30 day policy on phones.

I am trying to decide between two handsets and I want to know, if I were to decide within 30 days to exchange the phone I got for another model how do they determine the base price for the exchange - it is retail price, price paid including rebates, price paid excluding rebates etc.

What I want to know, if I am choosing between the Photon and the Nexus S is there any particular reason to choose one first because of the lower price (if I would get a clean exchange) or the higher price but current rebates because I would have to pay the difference to retail if I switched later.

I hope that question makes sense and I appreciate any thought.

You will pay the difference in subsidized price. I.E. first phone is free and you return it for a phone that's 199. You will pay 199 for the exchange. If it were reveresed they would owe you 199.

Ok, thanks that is what I thought.

So, which one should I get?

I'd say do some research and find what works best for you. I'm an HTC guy so I like the EVO 3d myself. The main reason is the amazing community following. That might not appeal to you though.
