Reverse Portrait Issues

Device Info: I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S8 Active with Android Oreo OS. Unrooted.

Purpose: I'm attempting to enable toggleable reverse portrait mode, such that when using a particular application, I can rotate the display 180° by placing my phone upside down.

Issues: I've tried at least ten different applications that market this feature. These applications seem to work flawlessly except for features involving Reverse Portrait mode. I've found one in which Reverse Portrait mode works, but Reverse Portrait (Sensor) does not. This means it requires a manual toggle between portrait modes, which is very cumbersome. I'm wondering if this an inherent issue with my device hardware and/or Android Oreo.

Reason: I desire this because my microphone on my device is situated at the bottom, and I've noticed some audio recording issues if the microphone is temporarily/partially obstructed, especially if the device shifts during recording.
Ergonomical use of applications for which I desire the use of this feature is essential to me.
