I haven't received the G1 yet, but based on what I read, the browser currently won't allow automatic view switching based on the orientation. I saw some code where you simply put android:screenOrientation=

There's already a new browser (Alpha stage) that does this. It's called Steel. It doesn't have tabbed browsing or keyboard yet, but looks good none the less.

i've used steel and it looks much better than the android browser, also a little bit much smoother
