RIM Blackberry PlayBook Announced

RIM look, on first impressions, to have readied a credible alternative to the iPad, and while I've only seen both on paper/web, the PlayBook looks a more polished product than Samsung Galaxy Tablet, the only Android tablet getting any real recognition.

I think that RIM might be set to retain their market share with this, and they might even win some of Androids possible customers; not sure it'll trouble Apple too much.

Personally, I'm hoping it's as good as it looks; might tempt me to trade my Hero for a Bold & PlayBook, rather than X & iPad, or X & some Android tablet.

I've said it before, but I really think that Android has done itself a diservice by diluting it's recognition with so many variations of device/brand/OS version.

Looks nice. I was reading about it and been thinking about it. I've been wanting an Android tablet, but I remember reading somewhere that the current versions of the OS are not designed for tablet's really. I was really looking into the Toshiba one, but I remember saying that it wasn't going to have the Android Market.

I had a BlackBerry Curve 8330 before my Moment and loved it, I just wanted a touch screen. I wish BB would bring a good touch screen phone to Sprint, I would probably go back to BB then.
