RIM buys DataViz

I would expect this excellent program to become BlackBerry-only in the future. Unless it makes so much money for them as a cross-platform app, RIM will internalize Data Viz and incorporate Docs To Go into their OS.

They could be using them for their RoadSync app. Offering ActiveSync connectivity to BIS users. With so many smart phones now allowing Activesync connectivity...it puts the Blackberry at a disadvantage for those who maintain simple, (maybe hosted) exchange solutions.

Hey Rambo...recognized your avatar from BBF. Hopefully you will be just as helpful in this forum as you were/are over there.

EDIT: Just read article...and it only mentions Doc to Go. It looks like they only purchased that portion of the company.

Yeah I have to agree that I think that RIM will make DocsToGo a RIM product only. Yes this really sucks.
