Ringtone and Notifications field not highlighted

LG Optimus G AT&T

Under Sound: Ringtone & Notifications, the following fields are not highlighted:
Ringtone with Vibration
Wise Ringtone
Phone Ringtone
Notification Sound

Needless to say I can't make any changes. HELP!

Welcome. I'm sorry nobody has been able to provide a response. I hope you've found the answer in the meantime.

If not, here are my thoughts:

I think the thing that would usually grey out those fields would be if it's currently set to silent mode. Make sure ringer volume is up and not muted. An app could be interfering also, and it might not be an app that you expect to do anything with your ringer.

First you should reboot your phone. Then you might want to try clearing data and cache for various apps. Often problems like this can be somewhat accidentally solved with apps that do related things, so you could try installing some apps that automatically adjust ringer volume or mute it, apps that change ringtones, etc.

If all else fails you could do a factory reset. It probably involves powering off the phone, holding the volume up button, and powering it on while still holding volume up.
