ringtones assigned to contacts

i just got my desire z the other day.

ive assigned a couple of ringtones i downloaded to some contacts however when they ring its the default tone plays for all other contacts that plays . when i view that contact it says that the tone that should play is the one ive assigned.

anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this?

the easiest way I found to do this is ringo lite. quick and easy.
