It worries me whenever an inanimate device arbitrarily changes it mind, without human intervention ... like this: I've got three e-mail accounts set up on my Ally. Each of these three accounts has a unique ringtone. Also, another ringtone is set up for notifications.
Here's the deal: Sometimes they play, and sometimes they don't. I've spent hours trying to figure out if there's some PATTERN to this misbehavior ... but I never found any.
I'm brand-new on the Android planet, so I find this particularly confounding. Would be very grateful if anyone has a clue why this may be happening.

... I have this problem on my old WinMo device that I hope to replace with an Android phone. I was hoping this type of crap would be gone. Interested to see if this is common.
