It was recommended to me (before someone told me to set up my SD card differently with a media folder..it works too) to use the apps:

Zedge
Mabilio

They have both sounds and walls, with Mabilio having more just sounds and not songs

But with both you can't really download them--they are downloaded per se' but only within their own app

So I downloaded the opening to Droid Droooooiiiiiiiddd LOL
It gave me the opportunity to assign as major notification or not, or to assign as a ringtone to someone, but i could NOT use as email, sms or mms and when I went into sms or mms, I only found my folder I was speaking above with that one NOT in there

Could someone help me with the program, or how change a folder on my sd card OR i believe my sd is fine, I think I need a new app?

Any help?

Thank you Bigmerf I was looking for them already done. But i can do that with Audacity on the puter then put on the n1 via usb.

does that program let you do it all the while on the phone? or do you use it on the puter like Audacity

After you download something from Zedge or Mabilo, mount your SD and browse through your files. It'll be there. Then you can just move it wherever you want.

Sounds like you already know about the "media" folder trick, so you know what to do. As far as wallpapers go, it shouldn't matter, they should still show up in the gallery. I hate Zedge/Mabilo. I've used Zedge.net website to find a couple, but I usually make my own.

Desktop Wallpapers - wallbase.net for wallpapers (some are NSFW) if you don't like live walls.
