Apps Roku Remote

So like ive seen a lot of apps on google play for roku remotes to control the roku stick with your phone and im just wondering if theres some api or tutorial out there for how to do this using android studio cause i would like to make my own as all the apps ive tried just dont quite fit my needs and pls i prefer using stuff i program myself anyways

any links maybe an sdk or tutorial would be nice thanks in advance

What's your current level of knowledge, in terms of Java coding, or building apps?

Once you become familiar with the basics, then you'll want to focus on the aspects of controlling the Roku. There's some good information on Roku's website, and it appears that a web interface is provided to allow control of the device from any web client.

thanks for the reply im proficient in java ive been using android studio for about 5+ years

I will give it a look at im surprised that didnt come up in any google searches
