Apps Rollback from A/S 2.3 to 2.2 ?

I accidentally clicked and upgraded my A/S to 2.3 ( I was doing well)
As a result EVERYTHING crashed and I mean EVRYTHING.

I don't have time to debug and make it work with 2.3

What is the least time consuming and easiest way to roll back to 2.2 ???

I usually use my Micro philosophy, always but always, be at least 1 major release behind. I screwed up this time

It's possible to have multiple versions of Android Studio installed simultaneously, so maybe that's an option: try installing a fresh version of Android Studio 2.2 in a new/unique path.

I'm not a developer, so can't confirm this works, but it seems like it's worth a try.

Why is A/S2.3 insisting on SDK Build Tools Rev 25.0.0? That's a new one on me.

"The SDK Build Tools revision (24.0.3 is too low for project ':app'. Minimum required is 25.0.0

It is giving me errors that I can do nothing about, e.g.:
No resource identifier found for attribute 'roundIcon' in package 'android'
Execution failed for task ':approcessDebugResources'.
> com.android.ide.common.process.ProcessException:Failed to execute aapt


I am also getting these errors about the AVD emulator that I thought I have left behind me months ago. All those errors are there again with the friendly advise to contact the graphics company.
