Hey Everybody!

I want to share with you a quick mod to the MyHero ROM. This ROM removes many useless things that Hero ROMs are full of. This ROM FLIES, it is even faster than cupcake! HTC released a new update that makes Hero very fast and very responsive, and it is included in this ROM!

Here is a quick list of awesome features :


  • Hero rom 1.79.482.3
  • HTC Camera With Touch to Focus!
  • MultiTouch (Albums, Browser, PDF Viewer)
  • CPU Max set to 528MHz
  • BusyBox 1.14.3
  • SuperUser
  • Voice Search
  • Wifi Tether
  • Market Enabler

I have taken this ROM and removed the following apps that use up resources :

Launcher (Warning : Original Android Home)

I, purchased my first Android phone (HTC Magic) 3 days ago & already tried most 32A's available & so far this is the one for me.

I'm excited to try it but there are a few things that you removed that I do use.. is there an easy way of adding them back? Are both versions based on the new sense instead of the one that original shipped with the hero? I see you changed the kernel in your second version. If they're the same I will just use your first version as it the second has even more stuff that I use removed.
 
Yes, both version are based of the new hero update.

And yes, there is an easy way to push back the apps. If you want to tell me exactly which ones that would help.
 
I finally got around to flashing this today. This past week was my first week of engineering and it was rather hectic. Anyway, everything seems really fast and awesome except for one thing; I can't connect to the wifi at my university. I thought it might be because you are required to log in to your account upon opening the browser. However, I went over the engineering buildings and I was able to get wifi there just fine even though I have to sign on to my account for that one as well. I hope that made sense. I have no idea why this would happen though. How could the two networks be different?

I don't see any of this information being useful but when I long press it, it says

Speed 54Mbps
Channel 11
Signal strength anything from poor to excellent depending on where I am on campus
Security Open

It sits there for a while and then just says "Unsuccessful"

I highly doubt anyone would have any idea how to fix this problem but if you do please let me know. It would be extremely much appreciated.
Otherwise I'll have to go back to the old hero rom..
 
Well if you find my thread at XDA. developers I have am updated version of this Rom there but it probably will not six you problem. Also whoch kernel version are you using ?
 
I'm using version 1.1.0
this might not even be a problem with the phone. it could have to do with the network. It seemed to start happening as soon as I changed roms but I don't know. I'm going to wait for a bit and see what happens.
 
Hallo. Great work Underwhat!!!! Its the best rom for sure. You have managed to collect the best features of an iphone and from Windows Mobile and compiled it to a great device.

I am using your rom with HTC Magic and I have a little problem/question thats really ennoying. I used to skip tracks from music by double clicking the hands free button. Now with this rom when i double click it skips the track, but also redials the last person I called!

This redial feature is useless for me so please tell me how can I change it back the way it was.
