AICP rom is the Shiznit !!!!! only thing camera forcecloses everytime u take a picture plus sound recorder doesn't work on either of the new nougat roms , Awesome job thou thanks.

Lol, we just figured out the camera issues yesterday also. I didn't know about the recorder tho, thanks again. Which other Nougat ROM exactly..?? I'll also update the OP. Keep a lookout for AOKP as well.

Oh yeah cool ! Resurrection , AICP , and Lineage had that recorder issue. And one ting i noticed music files on sd card won't show in music player.

I actually didn't have a problem running music off sdcard with amy ROM so far at all

#How to mount /mnt/emmc to /mnt/sdcard/external_sd
  1. Install terminal emulator by clicking here from google play
    (most of the devices have terminal emulator installed)
  2. Now open terminal emulator and excute following command:
    su
    mount -o bind /mnt/emmc /sdcard/external_sd
  3. create a directory named external_sd in the sdcard before executing this command.
  4. finally Create a new directory using either file explorer app or mkdir command in the terminal emulator and you are done. (Step 4 is throwing me off seems like step 3 is the same one right ?)

I'm not sure I'd mess with that much but ya never know.. Might work. And yes, steps 3 & 4 sound like the same but I'd go in order: 3(or 4), 1, 2

Oh really ? that is weird ! everytime i go back to either Lollipop or Marshmallow roms there's no problems when i download mp3's and then transfer then to sd card they will show on music player but once i go back to Nougat roms music player is empty as if there wasn't any music , they can only be played from the sd card so in order to see music files i have to put them into internal memory in music folder o_O

Strange. I have 2500+ songs (16GB) on external sdcard and I've played them in my car thru every ROM I've posted so far.. How's the condition of your sdcard? You could possibly have corrupted sdcard, recovery, even gapps will do strange things if corrupted too

Sd card is brand new but how do go about finding out if gapps or recovery are corrupted? but also would'n that affect marshmallow and lollipop roms as well ? and it doesn't

It could.. Didja format the card in device 1st? I had all kinds of access problems till I wiped it in PC and formatted the card in device.. Just a thought. As for corrupted gapps and recovery, compare the Zip's MD5#'s to the upload info or md5.txt. If unsure, reDL and compare - reflash when satisfied

Yeah i did all that but same , solved problem by getting an app called media re scan for some wacky reason media scanner its not doing its job but this is a cool walkaround. Thanks anyway

I'm not doubting you, just strange that I'm not having it too.. There may be another factor we haven't noticed

Oh i know bro but yeah very strange, like i said before if i go back to either Lollipop or Marshmallow roms this problem is non existent only on the Nougat roms is when this issue is present. It's interesting u don't have this issue apparently it's just me .
