It all started April 13, 2013. XDA member matthew0776 created his first Candy Shop thread, though the name came later. The Candy Shop has always been about the user. Matthew began making lock rings, then soft keys, and eventually, with the contribution of many fellow XDA members, the Candy Shop was modding many different aspects of the Android user interface. Soon after the Candy Shop caught on, Matthew and a few other members were tasked with adding some custom visuals to a short lived but much loved ROM project. Matthew and mar5hal began a partnership that continued after their first project. Now, less than a year later, the two of them have assembled a team of talented members to bring you a new and unique ROM. The Candy Shop and the CandyKat ROM maintains the same user -focused attitude that has been a part of the Candy Shop from the beginning.
