Android Question

Not so much a root question, because to my knowledge there is no working exploit for AT&T i1337 running 4.2.2 currently. My question is, is there a way to keep the phone from auto-updating when new software hits? There is no option in "phone details" for me even though I've seen it available to other users online. I imagine either AT&T has locked out that feature or the developer did w 4.2.2??? Anyway, i just don't want to get screwed out of the next root exploit that comes along for my phone.

Thanks
