Well, took the plunge and went to CM7. And I answered my own question, I didn't have to send my phone back to Florida to have it set up for roaming!!! So far, everything seems to be working with no problems. The phone hasn't rebooted yet, keeping my fingers crossed!
As for CM7, wow. Just wow.
Please tell me how you got CM7 on this phone? I have the same phone (Huawei Ascend 2) with the same spontaneously rebooting on it's on problem and if I don't fix it soon my boyfriend is going to return it and make me use my old phone that I hate. I have no idea how to change to CM7 and what I need to do before I download CM7. Please help!
