Root Root on Vista x64 / 64-bit?

Has anyone got Odin / root to work in Vista x64? I get Odin to load and it seems to detect the phone, but it doesn't seem to be able to upload anything to it.

I got the drivers working on two computers now. A Vista 64bit and a WinXP 32bit. The Samsung USB device and Samsung modem is detected on both. Odin also detects the phone.

However, on both machines, Odin stops at "<1> setup connection...".

Is there some other setting that I need to set on the phone? I boot the phone with vol-down+cam+power-on and get the downloader screen.

When I open the modem in the device manager and click "query modem" it says it doesn't respond. Is this normal?

EDIT: it is working now!

The problem was that the .tar file was corrupt!
