root or unlock LG optimus G ls970zvc

Rooting gives you admin access to the operating system. Unlocking allows you to use other carriers' SIM cards. Totally different things. Which one did you want?
 
All right. Here we go.

I was scared to root and unlock my phone after the ZVC update as well, but I just went for it.


1) follow this link, it tells you everything you have to do get the initial root on your phone, very easy to do.

[ROOT]Windows/Linux file to root all Firmwares(Should work on all versions) - xda-developers

afterwards search on the play store for a root checker just to double check your phone is rooted


2) now, to get your phone unlocked, search on the play store for an app called "freegee" and simply open the app and follow those instructions. select which recovery you prefer...

3)....and BAM you have unlock and root.
