I'm glad there's root for this phone, too bad I was impatient & Jumped out of my G5.
I suppose I could pick it up again, perhaps if there's a sale sometime soon....
The V10 got a temporary $100 price cut soon after release. Something along those lines & good chance I'll be back.

For now, I already traded in the phone I jumped out of the G5 for & got an HTC 10,B/L unlocked/TWRP/Root & S-Off, ROM'd immediately.
T-Mobile has cut the price of the HTC One M9 yet again, down to $299 & it's quite tempting at the price.
Regardless, getting back into the G5 isn't a far-fetched notion, I already have the accessories & it wouldn't be the 1st time I picked up a phone for a 2nd go-around.....
Enjoy the G5, especially all the cool things root-related. :thumbsupdroid:
 
BTW, VZW is SOL. They have a locked bootloader. I am sorry..:(

Maybe some other method will work for them.
