Root without messing with the bootloader?

So i would like to root my Prime, but I did not want to mess with the bootloader at the moment. So is there an easy method?

Was thinking of using Vipermods root, but thanks to a post here I can see you need to mess with the bootloader to you it. (Sorry but reading 111 pages of posts on XDA to try and find that one thing out hurts my eyes)

I really don't know a great deal about it and am guessing if you don't mess with the bootloader you cannot make a backup to unroot?

Some clarification would be great so I can make an informed choice. :)

I have tried NachoRoot but just ended up with errors when on .14 update:

But i'm now on .15 update and looking at the XDA forums I just don't know where to start!!

You can root and not mess with the boot loader at all. I believe there's a root method in APK format if you wanna try that. And when you feel comfortable enough to unlock your boot loader, you can still easily ado so with the tool that Asus released.

Hope I could help!

Vipermod prime time 4.5 works with .15 The way it works is 1 click to root. Then verify you have superuser. DONE. If you desire to unlock your bootloader you make another selection. make sure you have an internet connection first. Primetime will then install clockwork mod and unlock the bootloader. Make a nandroid backup and flash whatever you want. I'm running the virtuous rom right now and works much better then stock especially at 1.6 Ghz

Thanks for that, I did not realise it had install options. I'm currently using SparkyRoot which seems to work very well.
