Root Rooted and put clockworkmod on my galaxy now no wifi??

Sure did, thanks! It was my own fault, I got ahead of myself and after rooting I forgot to flash a rom. Whenever I get a new phone I always make a stupid mistake like that because I am so excited to root and try new roms that I get ahead of myself and forget little steps..

Can someone explain what just happened here..I do not want to loose 3G/4G as well, and when I attempt I also would like to back up this rom before moving forward.

newbie--

Hmmm not sure. Rooting and CWM recovery shouldn't take out wifi. Its essentially stock Android with touchwiz only with switch user and recovery flashed on it. Make a nandroid backup as soon as CWM is achieved. I would also suggest flashing either the EL13 or EL26 modem. No LOS with them.

From what I see, and I don't know exactly how he rooted, it appears that he used the Zedomax method to root.
When using the Zedomax method, ODIN flashes Zedomax's kernel (and maybe modem) onto the phone.
Whatever it is that gets flashed on the phone prevents Wifi from working.

This can be easily avoided by rooting through other methods- i.e. Zergrush. [ROOT][NCIQ][EG30/EG31/EK02] Auto root your existing stock ROM (w/o ODIN/ROM Flash) - xda-developers
