hi there.im a newbie but managed to root and lagfix my phone quite easily. Its defiantly been worth it as my phone now reads at 1850 on quadrant standard. I installed a 8g sd card today and moved every app possible with app2sdfree but this has not increased the score. Should it have? i thought it would due to more free internal memory. Im also using autokiller at aggressive setting.

thanks for the help and this site is great

Actually, if you need to have more points, try to overclock it. 1850 is the dream of the most of the people and you don't need to do anything.
Is there some specific problem that you think you'll solve by having greater quadrant?

Quadrant scores really don't mean anything. Your score is good.

No it won't increase your score by moving all apps to SD. Your internal storage space will always be roughly the same speed full or empty.

You're freeing internal "space". Not memory.

Hey thanks for replying, not the phone is running great.i wasjust wondering
was there something else I could do to speed it up even more.i also have auto killer running on aggressive.
Is this ok

There's really not much more you can do. You could disable stuff like widgets, animations and that's about it. Just be happy with it now. :D

What is the easiest method to overclock and would it make a difference?
Tks

I wouldn't suggest that. First of all, you overclock a CPU that doesn't have a fan. So it might burn after it gets hotter and hotter(is hot the right word?:)). Why does it gets hot? Because to run at 1,2 GHz instead of 1 GHz, it needs more electricity. And more electricity means more heat.
Second, because an overclocked CPU needs more energy, and your battery's capacity isn't changed, your phone would be dead before the day ends.
And there is a warranty issue, but you already have done that by rooting it :)

If you think you can handle those three, then take a look at market with the word overclock(I saw something). And again, XDA has overclocked kernels.

But don't do it, your phone looks fast enough.

I did the same as the op except one thing. I flashed a custom rom first and the gps didnt work at all. I flased to stock, did the jh7 upgrade, root then install lag fix and restored all my apps and settings. My benchmark went from 881 before I flashed cog to 1274 with cog then 2262 withe eclair 2.1+root+lag fix.
