Root rooted gts5830d

Ok so heres the deal i have a rooted gts5830d and trying to make an nandroidbackup ..ihave gingerbread 2.3.4 im trying to put clockworkmod so i tryed a zip fil and i keep getting error 7 aborted ive tryed it via odin following all the steps but odin dose not reconiz the phone ... I press start and i get plz conect phone ...... I used uneversalgb 25 zip to root .... Root valadator and root checker sais i have root .... Has annyone incounter this problem that wont allow u to put cwm or that odin would not recognize the phone .... Im well awaire not to use stuff for the gts5830i ....... Kinda at a stand still .... Till i get cwm on it .......
