rooted the eris to 2.1 and wont install maps..

Keep getting a message saying that google maps wont install - I'm on rooted eris 2.1

I downloaded root explorer and deleted the map app and rebooted and tried to install it again but same issue.

Anybody have a way to solve it? I dont even have maps now
