Root Rooted USCC 2.2 ROM available

userno69 posted this in another thread yesterday, so I take no credit for finding this.

It took more time to download and unzip everything than it did to flash everything over with ODIN.

Follow the steps in this thread closely. Your apps are removed during the flash, but your SD card is not wiped. (Its still not a bad idea to back it all up anyway, just in case. YMMV is always a good thing to remember)

The ROM is pre-rooted, so once you load this up you are homefree.

I'm currently re-loading all of my apps, so I can't say what is better/not better.

All info you need is located here:
[FROYO-ODIN] Leak USCC Mesmerize Froyo EA11 Stock + Root - xda-developers

Saw youor post here, went over and got the files took a few minutes - up and running on Froyo.

Everything is working great, and not a singe negative so far. Have not been able to judge battery life, but does not seem much different than 2.1

So far the battery life does not seem to be better. If anything it seems slightly worse. I'm at 1/2 charge by lunchtime, even on standby.

Which voodoo kernel did you install? How did you do it? I tried to install the new voodoo 5, but I apparently am doing it wrong.
