Rooting a Samsung Galaxy S2

IvanABQ

Newbie
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 running Android 2.3.6, Gingerbread version EK02, hardware version D710.10. Is there a program like z4root or Universal Androot (neither of which work) I can use to root this phone. I'm really not confident enough to use ODIN (or even find the right release of ODIN).

You would be better off posting this question in the, "All Things Root", section for the Samsung Galaxy SII rather than in Android Applications. See here:-

Galaxy S2 (International) - All Things Root - Android Forums

The sticky at the beginning of the forum contains all there is to know about rooting your phone. See here:-

The best and safest way to root your handset is using the CF-Root method described in the sticky.

Hope this helps. :D
