Help Rooting and Flashing Monte Carlo

I think I am finally starting to be brave enough to root my Monte Carlo. I do like the phone. When I use task manager to stop most of the applications it starts up with it is especially good. It is light, and it was very inexpensive, especially since I had a lot of money in my Orange phone fund. I doubt I would have an Android without that. I have been looking here and elsewhere, but I haven't found anything definitive about rooting this particular phone. Can someone please help me? I am quite nervous about it, because if I fail I will be without a phone for quite a while.

I want to do it because I am tired of having gmail and Orange mail. Google maps and Orange maps... etc, etc. I am concerned about losing Orange's HD voice and signal boost, though. Is there a workaround for this that anyone knows of?

This is were i unlocked, rooted and installed a custom rom onto my orange monte carlo.

Once you have rooted download a app called anttek manager fro the market, from there you can get rid f the orange bloatware and leave your phone running faster and smoother. It will not remove HD voice and signal boost unless you remove it yourself.

It is fast and simple to do the steps you are after. Just follow the guides and you will be fine

You're braver than I am. I had money in my phone fund too but it was use that and have a model full of their old crap or buy on Ebay predone and pay around
