Root Rooting Droid changed phone number

I have an unlocked Droid 2 Global which I am running on Verizon CDMA. Everything, voice and data was fine. I recently rootedit, but the process seemed to have changed the phone number to 000000xxxx. I changed it back, nut now can make phone calls but have no data!. HELP!

how did you root?
did you try dialing *228+
and
menu>settings>wireless & networks>mobile network mode> cdma only
