Root Rooting Galaxy S5 SCL23 au - Need Help!

Hi,

I can't find anywhere in google where there is a guide to root this model. (It's on android 5.0)

It is the Japanese version of the s5 made for their network, but it has been unlocked for NZ networks so I can use it here.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please. Kingroot didn't work

Hello and welcome to Android Forums kpizzle666 :)

You may want to look at either using One Click or Towelroot that appear to have worked on KitKat releases. You may have to look at downgrading your firmware to enable rooting.

Hi thanks for your reply. I have looked in to downgrading firmware, however I can't find it. The model is SM-G900j (about the only model which is not on sammobile). If anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be much appreciated
