Rooting Galaxy S8

Hi guys

Am trying to root Galaxy s8 running 7.0 using c.f. boot. Every time I go to install it says recovery and hangs for s while before failing.

Does anyone have any tips or any other good methods of Rooting?

Hey how would I check?

You should know whether it was bought through a carrier or not. Exact model number (not just "S8") will help - should be in Setting > About somewhere. Exynos or Snapdragon is easy: which country was it originally sold in? North models use Snapdragon processors, almost all others use Exynos.

SM-G950/955U = Snapdragon 835
SM-G950/955F = Exynos 8895
and -FD is exynos with dual sim support

Flash cf until it says something about doing a factory reset. ( this may take a few tries.) Do the reset, flash twrp, boot twrp. Flash your choice Magisk or SuperSU. Reboot and enjoy.
