Rooting HTC Wildfire S

Hi i want to root my HTC Wildfire S, can i just remove the stock apps, And after i have removed the apps can i use the android market as normal using apps for rooted and unrooted apps, or does it mean after ive rooted my phone i can only use rooted apps.
