Rooting my Sprint LG X Power?

I have been trying to root my Android Lg X Power ( sprint network ) for the longest time without a PC. Can it be done?
And if not how do i do it with a PC?

There is NO twrp for this device. First we must unlock the bootloader if we can access fastboot which we not have been able to do. Once we can do that building twrp should be easier.. LG has us locked out tight unless someone has figured this out

To unlock bootloader do this...............

• Your device must have atleat 60% of charge.
• Goto Settings -> Security and enable the "Unknown sources".
• For your safety, please take backup of your importent stuffs.
• Turn on USB debugging mode from Developer Options on your LG X power. To turn on USB debugging you have to enable Developer options, GoTo settings -> About and tap multiple times on build number.

That may work with your Verizon model, but not with Sprint or Boost Mobile models. These device models are all completely different. Some are Qualcom, some are Mediatek. Some are quad core, some are octa core. They will all require a different recovery and probably rooting method. Boost models either don't have a bootloader at all or it is inaccessible. If you can't access or don't have a bootloader, chances of getting a custom recovery are slim to none.

I recommend not rooting your device if this is your everyday use phone because of the possibility of bricking your device. But if this is a second device that you don't use every day you can use

These steps wouldn't unlock your bootloader.... At best you would have USB debugging and developers options, and be able to sideload apk files without a Google security warning....
