Rooting trouble with lg v10 at&t

I have been trying to root my lg v10 for a long time. I have been trying to use this tutorial. When i do adb reboot bootloader, it just normally reboots my phone. When I try to use the power and volume keys it doesn't work either. I am running android 5.1.1. Can you please help me. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as i know, there is no current method released. There are developers like Jcase and i'm sure others on XDA working on it.
