Hi there, it seems the easiest way to root your device is by installing a custom recovery known as Clockworkmod. there is a very informative guide written here: http://androidforums.com/4649768-post1.html that will walk you through installing it.
Luckily for us, shahabazas was nice enough to post a guide on how to root once that is all done. http://androidforums.com/4649743-post1.html
