rotate a video.... for Facebook

hi...

i was in water... OCEAN... with stingrays & sharks.... vacation...
it is hard to activate the phone with wet fingers.. and your screen is wet too.

but i did get the video recording started... on my Samsung S8+...
but did not pay attention to the orientation of the physical phone itself.
which would have been difficult in that situation, at the time...

anyways.. it started in portrait mode.. then i twisted to landscape...
i guess the phone did NOT rotate the filming perspective...
so now.. when i watch the vid.. it is upside down or on it's side...

question... how do i correct that? what app?
so that i can post it on my facebook.

thanks

Open your gallery, find the video, press on it but don't play. Press on the three dots on the top right of your screen and click on 'studio'. Now go to video trimmer, and press 'rotate' and save.

for those with Samsung phones...

you will need to get the Samsung app first: "Movie Maker"
select the vid file
at bottom.. select "edit"
at bottom right.. select "movie maker"
scroll bottom menu to far right... select "rotate)

Open your gallery, find the video, press on it but don't play. Press on the three dots on the top right of your screen and click on 'studio'. Now go to video trimmer, and press 'rotate' and save.
The above worked perfectly for me with a Samsung device. I don't see a reason to download a third party app.

it made me... in order to edit video.. it said i had to first download this app.

what device do you have?

There are free online services that will change your video orientation for uploads to forums and give you a url to paste. I only do it for photos but I know that video services are out there too.
