router linking to phone wifi app

Hi I'm new to posting but there is just something I need help with.

Ok here is the problem : I asked my neighbour if I could use his WiFi and he said yes, so I got the un and pw for the router. I live in the basement of the building so I can't get great signal off the router.4g in this area is very spotty (I'm visiting another state atm). So what I wanted to know is if there is a way to link a router to my phones tethering so I can use the phones WiFi signal that's linked to a router internet signal to get online. So prettmuch it would look like this router>evo 4g>laptop Ty in advance and I hope this is possible because its a very neat way to get internet if signal is poor

You might be able to get a wifi router that does repeating. However, just because you'd have a strong wifi signal wont mean your internet connection gets better if the phone has a crap signal.

No, you cannot use the phone as a wifi repeater. The only way the hotspot works is to tether the 3g/4g radio to the wifi router.

Ok kool I will do a little reading on that. The signal is very high in a certain room in the house but the room is occupied so maybe ill leave the pho.e there and connect the phone to the router. Hey would you mind helping me out as an example to what router might do this and how
