Is it possible to get wifi with a router? Where are they available and how much do they cost?

You can certainly get wifi enable routers.... These are either provided by the supplier of your broadband service, as part of the package, or you may be able to purchase your own one that connects into the equipment your broadband supplier provides.

Plugging in your wifi enabled router will allow you to share your broadband connection with your wifi devices

Here's a great inexpensive router I've been using which has bandwidth control for each connected device (a great feature for such an inexpensive device). It can also be used as a wifi extender.

But you still need a modem to connect to the internet...
