RSS feed reader with alarm for each post?

I only subscribe to ONE RSS feed which alerts me when work is available in my area. I have a GOOGLE READER App (gReader) without an alarm that reads the Google Reader. It's not good enough nor fast enough.

I need a RSS reader for Android type phone that will ring/alarm my phone the second something comes out on the RSS feed and allow me to read it instantly. The jobs are taken that fast.

Preferably the app should be reliable and on Market. The theory being it has been used by others and proven safe.

Thank in advance for any leads.

arrange for items to be emailed to your Gmail (use ifttt if necessary). On pc, set up a gmail rule to apply a particular gmail label (example: NewJobs) to emails from this source. On android gmail, set up to notify for every email with that particular label (select the gmail label first, then go to settings...label settings). You can even select a unique sound file from your phone to assign to that particular label notification. Done!

Click on notification (in jb) and it will open gmail to list of messages with that label. You can also set up a desktop shortcut to that label.

It will be as fast as gmail. I haven't noticed delays in receiving gmail.

Thank you electricpete, but that does not really solve the problem. Most rss apps allow you to set sound notifications. But I do not want notifications, I want an alarm. I want a big siren that goes "WHEEHEEHEEHEE YOU HAVE A ******* UNREAD ITEM YOU ************ AND I WON'T SHUT UP UNTIL YOU READ IT WHEEHEEHWEE" kind if alarm, not a simple and very missable "beep beep" sound.

Maybe this is a good first app for me to make :D

ps: sorry for the capslock

1-you can use any sound in your phone for the gmail label notification, doesn't have to be a beep beep and doesn't have to match your other notifications.
2-you can set up a rule for gmail to text you if that helps.
3-I doubt you will find a reader specific app that gives persistent notifications. But I'll bet you can find an app to convert notifications to be persistent. I recall someone had one specifically for sms. Actually I made an apk for a coworker to do just that using tasker. He later found another program.

Sorry, it's not exactly what you're looking for, just throwing out some ideas. Maybe others have more ideas
