RSS reader with built-in reading?

Hi all,

I'm coming from BlackBerry to Android and two favorite apps were Viigo and FreeRange with their built-in full article reading support. Is anything available for Android with similar functionality. Opening up a browser to read full articles is so clunky. I'd be willing to pay for one. I've tried some of the existing free Android offerings, but they all open full versions in a browser.

Thanks,
- Matt

I use NewsRob and I can see the RSS articles within the application itself. If I click links, it takes me to the full browser though.

It syncs perfectly with my Google Reader too.

Thanks, everyone. It doesn't sound like anything exists yet that pulls the actual article and displays it on a phone. Maybe it's an app I'll need to create.

Used to use NewsRob, then on a suggestion from this forum decided to just try reader.google.com in xScope, and I've never looked back. I suppose if you were frequently disconnected then it would be nicer to actually download the articles to your phone, but the mobile web app is so much nicer than any app I could find.

Ended up finding Buzzbox about a year ago and it's been great! The reader automatically extracts text from articles so no need to visit the source website. Highly recommended.
