Apps RSS reader won't load feed

I'm making an app that has two tabs. The first tab opens the non-RSS reader part of the app. When the user clicks on the second tab, it's supposed to load the feed, but it doesn't. I've been able to get the RSS feed to work when it's the main activity in a standalone app, which makes me sure that the problem is with the tabs.

There are other .java's, but I'll only post those if anyone thinks it's necessary to see them.

It didn't work when I made the second tab an activity with a button that launches the RSS activity, it still doesn't work.

Any ideas?
