Im new to the site, hopefully im posting the right way.
Yesterday I bought a White Fascinate off of Craigslist. When I met up with him at his work, he called verizon to deactivate the phone and close his account(he switched to att a week before) I asked him to ask the VZW employee if the esn was clear and if i would be able to activate the phone on my account. He said yes on speakerphone. I gave him the money and left.
Well..I went straight to the verizon kiosk in the mall to activate my new phone and they said the phone is still on his account and they are unable to activate it until his billing cycle happens. I then called the guy who i bought the phone from and he said his billing cycle is the 26th of may. (3 days away)
My question is, After the 26th when his billing cycle comes around will I be able to activate my phone onto my account no matter what because the phone will be truley deactivated on that date OR do i have to wait for him to pay his bill off before I can activate it?
